Omnata, working in partnership with Data Engineers NZ, have helped two innovative New Zealand companies to deliver analytics success on the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Leveraging the new Snowflake Native App framework, Omnata is a bi-directional integration layer for Snowflake; ingesting data from SaaS endpoints and outputting modelled data to downstream applications.

As a native app, Omnata runs inside a customer's Snowflake account which enables a user to configure and run sync jobs in a more flexible and finely tuned way. Compared to SaaS integration tools, Omnata can help to increase performance while reducing costs. Plus, the native architecture has no data privacy or cyber-security concerns.

Jade Software

After running into some challenges with existing SaaS integration tools, James Graham, the head of analytics at Jade, decided to pivot to use Omnata. Ultimately, an agile, three-way partnership between Omnata, Data Engineers and the team at Jade turned the project around to a success. Omnata is used to ingest ERP data from Microsoft Dynamics, marketing data from HubSpot, with more sources on the roadmap.

Robotics Plus

This innovative agricultural robotics manufacturer uses Snowflake to centralize company data for budgeting and planning cycles. The company are extensive users of monday.com to track progress and this source was challenging to use with existing SaaS tools. Slow syncs were holding up planning cycles and stacking up 'monthly active row' costs. With Omnata's ability to finely tune sync configurations, the team were able to speed up planning cycles and leverage near real-time data. They went on to add more sources to the mix including PayHero, MRPEasy and more.
