Plugin capabilities
Overview
Omnata built, tested and supported, this plugin enables you to push data outbound to, and pull data inbound from, Data Extensions. Data Extensions are the most popular way to enrich SFMC with data from external sources. SMFC uses an SFTE for the data payload and SOAP API to automate admin tasks on the platform. This plugin lands the data in the file location and automates the tasks to create and popular the Data Extension. SFMC has a more complex authentication pattern than other SaaS apps. Omnata optionally supports SFMC's GPG payload encryption, if required.
Inbound Syncs
Omnata will automatically fetch data incrementally, where supported, reverting to full-refresh if not. You can the choose storage behaviour, merge or keep history. For specific use cases, you can choose a sync strategy for each stream.
Outbound Syncs
The outbound sync strategies supported vary depending on the target app. The typical outbound strategies supported are Create, Update, Upsert, Mirror and Delete.
