Omnata is a top native app provider for bi-directional integration with SaaS API endpoints.

The PayPal Braintree connector pulls data into Snowflake reliably and automatically, without a custom pipeline or a SaaS ETL tool handling your payment records in the middle.

The Omnata plugin supports four inbound streams:

• Transactions — payment records, amounts, statuses, and associated metadata

• Subscriptions — recurring billing records and their lifecycle states

• Disputes — chargebacks and dispute records for reconciliation and risk analysis

• Customers — customer profiles and payment method associations

The plugin connects using a standard Braintree API key and objects are synced incrementally wherever possible, falling back to full refresh where the Braintree API doesn't support incremental access.

No middleware means no third party handling your payment data

Payment data is sensitive. The standard approach to getting Braintree data into Snowflake — a SaaS integration tool — means your customer PII and transaction records pass through a third party's infrastructure on the way. That's an additional contract, an additional security review, and an additional vendor with access to your payment data.

Because Omnata runs as a Native App inside your Snowflake account, your Braintree data moves directly from PayPal's environment into yours. Omnata never handles it in transit.
