We have a lot in the works for 2025 and we're excited for Snowflake Native Apps to reach the next level. Here is a quick overview of the latest releases to end 2024 for popular connectors.

Salesforce
Formula Field Translation (public preview)
We have recently added support for translating Salesforce formula fields into their Snowflake equivalents. Formula fields can be tricky to replicate since their values can change without the data changing, for example; a date calculation based on TODAY(), or, a field that references another object. Currently, you can now check the box in the sync config to include formula fields in a sync, but we recommend testing them separately before adding them into a production pipeline.
High Volume Object Scaling (public preview)
Have you hundreds of millions of records in an object?
Or did you fail to sync a large object using Omnata before?
We have added support for PK chunking, the technique supported by some Salesforce Objects to fetch large volumes of data more efficiently. This happens automatically for eligible objects and when the number of records is high.

SQL Server
More connectivity options

The SQL Server Plugin can now connect to your cloud and on-prem data via more methods. For Snowflake Business Critical accounts, we can now leverage Private Link on Azure and AWS. For people with publicly accessible endpoints, you can also connect directly (without an ngrok tunnel).
You can learn more about the different options in the blog post below, or get in touch with us to chat about your deployment.

More sync strategies
We also improved sync strategies for SQL Server to suit all the variations in database deployments. You can now pull data via CDC, Change Tracking, or direct table queries High Watermarking and Full-Refresh. The best strategy for you depends on your use case with trade-offs around ease and performance. Flexibility is key.
