At Omnata, we've been flat out building new connectors, shipping product updates, and more. We were also honoured to win a Partner of the Year award for our native app at Snowflake Summit.
SQL Server Plugin now available on the Marketplace
Our SQL Server Plugin is now in public preview and can help you ingest data from cloud and on-prem deployments using a secure mTLS tunnel from Snowflake to your private network. You can fetch data via CDC, high-watermark and full-refresh.
As always, Omnata doesn't handle or store data or credentials in any infrastructure outside of Snowflake. Get in touch with us to learn more.
Live-query functions
We are now shipping UDFs with our Plugin App package. These functions enable you to interact with connected endpoints via SQL in worksheets, other Streamlit apps and notebooks.
You can quickly do data discovery in a target app, or reconcile synced data by fetching results in real-time, even build real-time operational dashboards. Notebooks let you build logical flows that drive actions in target apps.
There's a load of possibilities, plus, they're free to use.
View our docs and query examples for:
Alerts and notifications
Stay informed about sync errors and failures by enabling email notifications. We will add more notifications channels as Snowflake make underlying features available.
Salesforce sync improvements
We have changed the way we use the Salesforce APIs in order to reduce sync run times. Before, large numbers of objects with small numbers of records would cause syncs to run slowly. After the update, we use the REST API for objects with small numbers of records and the Bulk API for objects with higher numbers of records.
Learn more in our docs.
Sync engine fixes and improvements
We have been shipping fixes and stability improvements for the Sync Engine weekly. We are also working with Snowflake on Streamlit UI performance where pages and values like status badges can sometimes be slow or outdated.
