Omnata has recently launch a plugin for the Infor Data Lake.

Infor is an enterprise software company that provides industry-specific cloud applications for sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and distribution. Infor's software suite includes the leading M3 ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), supply chain, financials, HR, and customer experience solutions.

Infor Data Lake is a cloud-based, centralized repository designed to store and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data across the Infor ecosystem. It is the gateway for data to flow from Infor products out of the platform to destinations like Snowflake.

Ingesting from Infor to Snowflake, before and after Omnata

Due to the scale and complexity of data coming from Infor Data Lake, the default integration pattern is infrastructure-heavy and requires the stitching together of several steps. Middleware solutions and cloud services must be procured and can rack up six-figure bills in direct costs, not to mention the many hours of engineering overhead.

Key challenges:

  • Significant engineering overhead (est. 0.5 FTE just for maintenance)

  • Duplicate records stem propagate through Infor Data Lake causing data quality issues

  • Multiple failure points in a daisy-chain of services

  • Required expensive middleware add-ons such as Pentaho or ION Desk

Omnata reduces cost and complexity

With Omnata, customers can cut out middleware and infrastructure and deliver a superior and more reliable solution.

Key Benefits:

  • Faster and easier cyber-security approvals with Omnata's Native App

  • Reduced engineering overhead, near-zero maintenance

  • Equivalent latency to alternatives

  • Superior data integrity with on-the-fly de-duplication and backfill

  • Increased transparency with federated queries and data reconciliation

Proven in the field: Alliance Farmers' Produce cut out hefty infrastructure and engineering effort

Partnering with system integrators Data Engineers NZ, Alliance Farmers' Produce delivered significant savings across engineering resources and direct infrastructure costs.

With Omnata running on Snowflake, it's a single hop from Infor Data Lake to Snowflake database tables. Omnata's Sync Engine supports Alliances billions of record total ERP volume, millions of record incremental syncs and achieves a latency of 15mins.

Given the complexity and variance in Infor environments, the Infor Data Lake Plugin is available through enquiry only and the Omnata team will provide guided onboarding and deployment advice.
